So it's been a while since I've updated the website with anything. For this entire year of 2024, I've been working hard for most of the twelve months on my next project. While it's still (somewhat) early days, I can finally announce what will come after Sandman Syndrome. While I can't say much about the plot, I can give a general overview of what HUSK will be.
While State of Mind was a psychological thriller, and Sandman Syndrome was a psychological horror, HUSK will be something entirely different.

What is HUSK?
HUSK will be a five-part science fiction horror series. Horror is my favorite genre to swim in, and it’s what I’m comfortable with. Sci-fi is also such a versatile playground, so I’ve had a lot of fun writing in it. On top of the horror and the sci-fi, I will be incorporating a lot of different ideas. I have a lot of room to move in this new world. The Osyst System is vast and is much like our own solar system. I have a lot of stories to tell, so I’m not limiting myself to just horror. I want to create epic-scaled conflicts and rivalries, and monumental dynamic-shifting events that change as the story progresses. This will most definitely be my biggest project to date, with hundreds of characters already being created to fill the planets and surrounding ships and stations. I have thought a lot about how each fundamental reality will affect each book. I have done a lot of research and really aimed for this entire plot to be accurate. From how each planet is orientated, to how its surfaces are traversed, I want this to feel organic.
How Long Will HUSK Be?
While HUSK is the name of the series, it will not be the name of the first novel. Book one will be titled Blood Vortex. As a whole, however, HUSK will be at least five books long. The length of each book will be around 400-600 pages. I am aiming to complete the story by the fifth book, but who knows where things may lead. I am naturally a planner, so I am sure I will be aware when the story will end well in advance, most likely before Blood Vortex is even released publicly, but currently, it is not clear if it will end at number five.
When Will Blood Vortex Release?
With all major book announcements, the topic of release dates surely comes up.
I am confident that Blood Vortex will release in 2025. I am hopeful that Blood Vortex will release soon in 2025. My manuscript is well into its final stages, and all that is left is the leftovers. I have taken a break from writing for the month of December, with it being close to Christmas, but I am ready to continue upon January in the new year. Then all that is left will be creating the book cover, and perhaps hiring an editor to go over what I have already gone over many times. The struggle with writing isn’t really the writing; it is after the writing is done. When all that is left of the story is the remnants, you tend to find new plots to add, new features to include. I have tried to steer away from this and focus on the current story being told, and its completion.
How Can I Read Blood Vortex?
Blood Vortex will release on Amazon, Kindle, Google Books, Apple Books, etc. I will also be including a 100-page snippet of the book once it is ready. This will give a taste of what’s to come and settle those who are interested into the themes and ideas of the book before making any kind of purchase.
Turn back
I see that planet
For the emptiest of shells, humanity dwindles, ready to be consumed by the Cosm.
The humans look haggard, bereft of energy. They look like meat and bones tied together with loose sickly skin and wilting muscles and creaking joints. Everyone looks tired. Everyone has yellow teeth: imperfect, crooked. Everyone has scars and blemishes and scabs pealing from wetness. Everyone looks hopeless, depressed, starving and hungry for hope in a hopelessly foregone galaxy. Everyone is dying inside and out, rotting from hidden places too far gone to speak of. Everyone speaks similarly, most dialects diluted over time. Everyone is ill in one way or many, with putrid stink clinging to their souls and to their saliva. Individuality is meaningless due to organic fuel taking precedence. Artistry, art, is no more. The non-essential commodity is overtaken by artificiality, such as it were. They had their time of play, for now their time is endless fear and endless work and endless death. They are the futile churn against inevitable oblivion, in which they dance toward in a waltz of horrors.
They get ever closer, to that place.
The place we call home.
